My previous experience with technology is about average in comparison to others my age. I grew up in a Macintosh household and while I have a basic understanding of Windows and its software I'm not as well versed in it as I am with Apple products. I have both worked on and used gaming consoles and have a good understanding of how they work. I have done graphic design projects using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator as well as presentations on Keynote.
In this class I hope to learn how to use Excel as it is the only program in Microsoft office that I have not had any experience with. I would also like to learn other skills that would further my familiarity with Windows' operating system. I would also like to learn how to use technology to effectively teach students in the future.
The questionnaire revealed that on all levels I rank as fairly balanced between both sides of the scale. In the first I lean more towards reflective which I relate to because I find that reviewing material helps me remember it. Sensing I leaned towards more and from that I learned that relating material I learn in school is best absorbed if I can relate it to the real world. I am also a visual learner which I relate to very much as it's hard for me to picture things on my own without some sort of visual representation. And as more of a global learner I need to understand the main idea before going into smaller themes within the big idea.
